NINGURA NAPURRULA
Ningura Napurrula Gibson was born around 1938 in Watulka, Western Australia. Ningura Napurrula is the wife Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi (deceased, also an artist and a respected elder in the Pintupi region).
In 2007, she was listed as one of the top "50 Australia's Most Collectable Artists" by the Australian Art Collector magazine.
Today Ningura Napurrula is considered to be one of the most important Aboriginal artists of our time.
