Christmas time - a time of Giving

It's Christmas time! Merry Christmas to all Aboriginal Art Lovers! We wish you and your family a very festive and happy time during this joyous time of the year. May it be filled with family, friends and lots of food and fun times.

Our Winner Romela expresses her gratitude for her win of the Janet Golder Kngwarreye artwork. The artwork has been framed and it is now hanging in her home just in time for Christmas! What a great gift for her and her family.

Read what she wrote to Dreamtime Art:

"First of all I'd like to express my gratitude to the both of you for the great work you do in promoting Aboriginal Artwork, supporting the community and fellow artists.

I was shocked & surprised to hear of my winning but elated and over the moon. I have always longed to own such inspirational and stunning Artwork... and I guess I do now.

Hopefully the first of many paintings.

Secondly, on collection of the Artwork I was one full of excitement and curiosity. When I saw the painting for the first time I instantly fell in love with the colors.

The detail, the intricate strokes, the hours involved, the talent and expression...in a word absolutely STUNNING!!

And last of all I'd like to acknowledge the artist herself - Janet Golder Kngwarreye. It is an honour and a privilege to own one of your paintings. Thank you.

It is the first thing people see as they enter my home and the last on their way out. It brings a smile to my face everyday."

Sincerely,

ROMELA
