Creative strategy grounded in story
Embed culture with integrity and keep the cultural thread intact from strategy to storytelling so outcomes are respectful, practical and enduring.
Our Story: From Vision to Impact
We help organisations walk respectfully with culture turning good intentions into grounded, credible action. Through deep listening and co‑creation with First Nations artists and knowledge holders, we shape strategies, stories and environments that honour Country and community and creates powerful shifts in organisations.
Our work connects people to place. It strengthens brands with cultural integrity leaving organisations better equipped to lead with respect.
Dreamtime Art Creative Consultancy was founded in 2009 by Matthew Everitt, a proud Taungurung man of the Kulin Nation, and Fatima Everitt, a proud Filipino immigrant. Their vision was simple but powerful: art and culture can drive real change when approached with integrity and respect.
What began as a response to systemic barriers has grown into a trusted consultancy, working with organisations across Australia to move beyond tokenism and embed cultural respect in ways that are practical, visible, and enduring. Our journey is one of resilience, creativity, and a shared belief that every project is an opportunity to create pathways for respectful engagement and amplify First Nations voices.
Our Approach
A Legacy of Change
- Deep listening to Country, community, and your context
- Co-designing solutions with artists, knowledge holders, and stakeholders
- Embedding ICIP governance, approvals, and attribution from the start
- Delivering outcomes that resonate in workplaces, public environments, and brand experiences
Over the years, we’ve partnered with corporate, government, and not-for-profit organisations in sectors as diverse as sport, health, education, and finance. Our projects range from cultural roadmaps and reconciliation strategies to large-scale creative commissions and integrated campaigns. What unites them is a commitment to cultural integrity, transparency, and shared benefit.
Our Values
These values inform every decision and measure of success. We ask ourselves: Does this uplift people? Does it protect knowledge? Does it leave relationships stronger? If not, we listen, refine, and co-create until it does.
Belonging. Respect. Identity. Truth. Equity.
Our values are essential in decision-making to act as a compass to guiding choices, shaping priorities, and anchoring actions with integrity. When values like belonging, respect, identity, truth, and equity are embedded in the decision-making process, they ensure that outcomes are not only effective but also ethical and inclusive.
Our values create clarity in complexity, foster trust in collaboration, and ensure that every decision contributes to a legacy of respect and impact.
Cultural integrity by design
ICIP, approvals and attribution aren’t add‑ons, they’re built in from the very first conversation. This approach protects culture, artists and communities, reducing risk for your organisation, and ensures every outcome is both culturally respectful and mutually beneficial.
Co‑creation that feels authentic
We bring artists, knowledge holders and your team together early so the brief is shaped by story, not just strategy. By agreeing on what’s shared and how it’s told, we create work that feels true to your purpose and right for culture.
Proven with national brands
Our work is trusted by leading corporates and public agencies, appearing in arenas, workplaces and public spaces across Australia. These collaborations deliver more than visuals, they create engagement, clarity and cultural impact that audiences can see and feel.
Multidisciplinary delivery
From narrative and identity to environments and content, our team carries the cultural thread end‑to‑end. This continuity reduces friction, shortens timelines and keeps intent intact through every stage.
Stewardship & aftercare
We don’t just hand over a file and walk away. After delivery, we stay close as your teams adopt the work, sense‑checking applications, maintaining integrity and refining guidance as contexts change so cultural intent continues to live well beyond launch.
Procurement‑ready & risk assured
We pair cultural integrity with strong processes. Every engagement includes clear scopes, ICIP considerations, onboarding and structured documentation helping your teams work confidently and align with internal and external governance requirements. This approach supports compliance, respects cultural rights and provides a transparent framework for risk assured implementation.
Culture‑led. Co‑created. ICIP‑governed. Authentic. Procurement‑ready. Risk‑aware. Enduring. Impactful.
Netball Australia: When stadiums became classrooms
Netball Australia wanted more than a token gesture, they needed an ethical, visible and scalable way to celebrate First Nations culture across Indigenous and First Nations Rounds. They chose Dreamtime Art Creative Consultancy because we’re Aboriginal‑led and build ICIP governance, co‑design and clear approvals into every decision from day one. We commissioned the right artist with care, defined attribution and usage boundaries, negotiated licensing for TV and digital, and created a visual system that honoured Country while performing across on‑court graphics, broadcast packages, social content and merchandise.
The result was bespoke Indigenous Round artwork and brand visualisation licensed across stadiums, broadcasts and merchandise turning stadiums into classrooms and driving national awareness with cultural integrity. Fans experienced culture on the court, on the ball, across screens and in nationally shared stories; for Netball Australia, it became a moment of learning and pride, and proof that when culture leads, scale follows. Practical, visible and enduring, this was good intent translated into governed, risk‑aware, measurable impact.
